Product Overview

NXT-12 Cubicle Gas-Insulated Switchgear (C-GIS) is a 12 kV compact, high-capacity environmentally friendly gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear independently developed by NATUS Electrical Group. It integrates a vacuum circuit breaker and a direct-acting isolating switch mechanism, uses SF6-free environmentally friendly gas as the insulating medium, and uses the vacuum circuit breaker for breaking and arc extinguishing.
Compared with traditional air-insulated switchgear, this 12 kV C-GIS gas-insulated switchgear seals all high-voltage live components inside an IP67 stainless steel gas tank, enabling stable operation in harsh environments such as humidity, sandstorms, high dust, heavy pollution and containerized substations. The modular structure supports flexible assembly and future expansion, with a maximum rated current of 2500 A and a rated short-circuit breaking current of 40 kA. The GIS gas insulated switchgear supports both electric and manual operation modes, integrates four remote functions, and is compatible with distributed and centralized control systems.

Product Structure

gis gas insulated switchgear
Equipped with dual protection functions including mechanical five-prevention interlocking and electrical locking. When the circuit breaker is in the closed position, electric or manual operation of the three-position switch is prohibited.
This product employs a direct-acting isolating switch structure to ensure stable closing operation. Conductive components feature a graded design: spring-loaded contact fingers for rated currents of 1250A and below, and strip-type contact fingers for 2500A and above.
